I love creating custom maps as a production cartographer both independently and as a member of the Gould Center in the Department of Geography at Penn State. I started my studies at Penn State as an art major, but after two years realized that I really missed having earth science and math as part of my studies. Studying cartography and GIS gave me the chance to blend my passion of art and graphic design with my love for scientific, spatial, and analytical problem solving. Besides performing custom cartography, I also participate in West African drumming and dancing with my husband Chuck, of Bote Fote Drumworks, and other friends in the area. I also enjoy yoga, gardening, hiking and bicycling, and spending time with my two-year old daughter. |
