Comment on "Memory Loss Camera"

Kind of seems more trouble than it's worth. Like, have you ever tried to sift through a chatlog to find something you kind of remember but want the exact wording on? How would you do that on a camera? And for people with serious memory problems, even if they watched it over again how much would it really help? It's a cool idea, but I would be skeptical about how useful it really is.

Would the truth that labels want to make money off of what they do be a shock to anyone? Would it change anything? It would be a more honest approach, but it wouldn't really help the situation.

And just because 50 Cent doesn't mind his music being ripped off of the internet doesn't mean it doesn't bother other artists, though whether their opinion really matters is another issue entirely.

It's the facade a computer monitor creates that imbues such disproportionate confidence in a user. I actually support this; what's the saying, that on the internet, everyone could be a dog? Something like that. Anyway, the internet's property of allowing free speech greater than any other of our utilities stems from this. So I'm all for.

It's rare that a research/tech demo is presented with such style and aesthetic. Couple of things to note: Despite having a limited range of movement, the Keepon retains a greater sense of being organic than all of its other more mobile robot comrades. Look at the way his flexible outer body bestows upon him character.

Robots won't see widespread home usage without the proper image. This is a good direction to go in.

Also, awesome technology in general.

The Zune is pretty beautiful. Microsoft is taking a different approach than Apple in letting its customers customize their product; Apple sells an ideal or an image, but the Zune is for those who just want something of their own-not a crowd favorite.

I think this technology should be paired with some sort of Twitter-like technology where the user constantly comments on what's going on; pictures alone are probably not going to be enough to establish reference for someone who is memory disabled.

I'm surprised that a USB port could support that kind of weight hanging off of it. My own flash drive is constantly bending through regular use.

This is so true. 50 does not need our $15.90 when we buy his CDs. I "might" download music but, I still pay $75+ for the concert tickets.

While I can't get to the site, I do find spy gadgets very fascinating. But seeing those gadgets commercially available makes me wonder what types of technology are available to government agencies that we don't know about.

I think 50 Cent really has no idea what's going on. While he might be completely correct, I just have a hard time believing that article when I saw a video of him doing Coke lines before a show and the article mentioned him never drinking on stage.

I really liked Dell's Island. It was very well thought out and had a lot of things going on. I think they are a good example of what you can do with a lot of time and money in Second Life. I wonder how much it affects their business, and if it is worth the investment. I didn't see many people on their Island, and I doubt many people actually use it.

I have taken a look at Dell's space on SecondLife and think that it is one of the better spaces in the virtual world. One of the things that I hate about SecondLife, as your group discussed when talking about the library, is that it too often acts as a "middleman."

I was really amazed by how huge IBM's Second Life presence is. They must really have a lot of faith in this technology to put such a huge investment in it.

Since nerds are usually computer savvy, I'm surprised there aren't more ways for nerds to network and date online. This sounds like a cool website. I did a search for nerdy women in the State College area and the search didn't return any results. Kinda disappointing.
