September Crush
Ooo baby...September nearly did me in. I'm finally resurfacing a little. I borrowed this entry's title from one of my colleagues, Henry Pisciotta...I think it perfectly describes this month in our environment. Between the start of classes, Open House, teaching, conference planning, outreach initiatives, etc., I feel exactly that--CRUSHED. October is going to prove equally challenging.
Between that stuff referenced above, I haven't had much time for my poor little blog or much musing. I hope that events at the PaLA conference this month will help me in that department--I'm attending sessions by Stephen Abram, Lee Rainie, Ishmael Beah, and others. Plus I get to see folks from library school and other places, so I'm def excited.
Finally, I'll get to see the fruits of 9 months of planning as the PaLA Store opens its doors (I've co-chaired this committee), not to mention that this conference has the honor of being hosted in State College for the first time ever! I think it's going to be great!
