Focus on the use of the Blogs at Penn State platform as an e-portfolio, courseware tool, and other innovative approaches. Work with a team of instructional technologists and designers to create new opportunities for teaching and learning with technology. Participate on a variety of program and design teams and special research projects. Implement instructional pedagogy using Web-based tools. Create faculty development sessions. Integrate content management systems and social software (blogs, wikis, podcasting, social networking sites, etc.). Chair, 2010 and 2011 Symposiums for Teaching and Learning with Technology.

Manage all aspects of cadet and senior programs (currently 54 people). Promote core values of CAP and the USAF. Establish plans, policies, and procedures necessary to the fulfillment of CAP missions. Keep informed of the accomplishments, problems, and degree of compliance with regulations and other directives through personal observations, inspections, reports, and staff meetings. Ensure that complaints and grievances are resolved fairly, impartially, and promptly. Comply with all policies, regulations, and directives of higher headquarters and require the same compliance by all members of the squadron. Ensure safety of personnel and equipment through compliance with directives and policy guidance. Ensure an effective safety awareness, education, and inspection program within the unit. Select personnel to fill authorized staff positions and remove from staff position those members deemed unqualified or otherwise unsuitable to continue in their positions. Establish policies and procedures to ensure an effective squadron recruiting and retention program. Coordinate the activities of staff officers to prevent overlapping of functions and to resolve conflicts. Serve as liaison to local agencies such as Centre County EMA, PEMA, etc.

Build client relationships while facilitating the learning process. Manage faculty (both    academic and industry). Identify and meet client needs before, during, and after program visits. Communicate and facilitate understanding and compliance with program agendas and requirements. Act as a liaison among participants, faculty, and program staff. Follow up on client wishes and expectations to develop deeper relationships and future business with individual clients and the companies they represent.
