I spent the spring of 2003 at the University of Manchester with other Penn State communications and economics students. We lived in flats with British students and attended classes taught by British professors. And of course, we had lots of time to travel!
Manchester • London • Liverpool • York • Stratford-Upon-Avon • Lake District
The Penn Staters took a trip to Conwy, where we climbed through the castle's ruins and enjoyed the breeze off the Irish Sea.
Katie, Erin, and I toured the capital city of Edinburgh (bagpipers, scotch, and all) and took an 8 hour bus trip through the highlands (filming sites of Harry Potter and Bravehart).
Kristin, Erin, and I spent Easter weekend in Dublin. We visited many historical cathedrals, drank pints of Guinness, and I swear we saw a leprachaun in Howth!
Seven American girls in Paris = quite an adventure! We crammed so much fun into our four day weekend, from the eiffel tower and notre dame to the louvre and versailles.
Rich joined me in Venice for spring break. We stayed near the Rialto Bridge and enjoyed losing ourselves in the maze of narrow alleys and canals. The seafoods, pastas, wines, and gelatos were delicious!
