About this Portfolio

This is a test of using the Blogs at Penn State tool to create a Teaching with Technology portfolio using the new portfolio templates. The content is based on linguistics courses taught by Elizabeth J. Pyatt.

You can also see how this portfolio appears in classic blog mode as well as a plain Web page.

About the Courses

The examples in this portfolio are taken from two linguistics courses.

  • LING 404: Phonology I - Course for majors to introduce students to different sounds of world languages and analyze how grammars organize these sounds systematically.
  • LING 448: Sociolinguistics - Course focusing on how dialects are organized and how societies view differences in language and dialects.
