Deborah Temkin is a joint-degree student pursuing her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies and her M.A. in Education Theory and Policy at the Pennsylvania State University.
 
 
Her main interests surround peer relations and the school’s influence on social development in the context of peers. She is particularly interested in the school’s role in preventing social aggression and other forms of bullying. She is also interested in understanding how certain education policies (such as NCLB) influence student’s overall development
