In order to understand and improve organizations and groups, it helps to know something about the people involved and to consider how groups create the context and processes that in turn shape behavior. Such insight leads to better decision-making, more satisfying and productive people management, and more effective leadership and social influence. With this perspective in mind, my research interests include:
My research has been published in several leading journals, including the Academy of Management Review, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology, International Journal of Selection and Assessment, Human Performance, Computers in Human Behavior, and the Journal of Business and Psychology. I am an active member of the Academy of Management and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and I have provided research and consulting solutions for several private and public organizations.
