RED RIVER WOMEN'S STUDIES CONFERENCE

 CALL FOR PAPERS

 The Red River WS Conference focuses on topics related to Women's 
Studies, Gender Studies and Feminist Studies, including 
interdisciplinary, intersectional and international.  The conference 
brings together scholars from the Red River Valley region and beyond 
to present their research and scholarship related to Women's Studies.

 The 2009 Conference will be held:

Friday, November 6, 2009

9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Comstock Memorial Union

Minnesota State University Moorhead

Moorhead, Minnesota



Papers and sessions relevant to all topics related to Women's 
Studies, Gender Studies and Feminist Studies will be considered.  
Interdisciplinary research and upper-level student research 
presentations are encouraged.  Submission by e-mail is preferred (as 
e-mail text or Word document).  Deadline for proposals is October 1, 
2009.

 For individual paper proposals:

Proposals are invited on topics related to Women's Studies, Gender 
Studies and Feminist Studies.  Papers/presentations should be no more 
than 20 minutes in length.  Please submit a 500-word (maximum) 
proposal and include your name, institutional affiliation, and a 
contact address/e-mail.  Submission by e-mail is preferred (as e-mail 
text or Word document.)

 For session proposals:

Sessions proposals, including roundtable discussions, are 
encouraged.  Complete session proposals must include a brief summary 
of the session, abstracts of individual presentations, and names and 
contact information for all presenters.  Sessions should be no more 
than 1 hour in length.

 About the Conference:

The Red River Women's Studies Conference is a regional conference 
hosted by a consortium of Women's Studies programs in the Red River 
Valley, including Minnesota State University Moorhead, North Dakota 
State University and University of North Dakota.  In its ninth year, 
the conference is an opportunity for scholars throughout the region 
to present their academic research and work in progress related to 
Women's and Gender Studies.  Its aim is to provide an annual venue 
for academic dialogue on topics related to Women's Studies as well as 
to offer discussion of interdisciplinary and intersectional issues.
