Squid gets IPv6 support
The popular caching proxy, Squid will get IPv6 support in version 3.1. As of yesterday, the IPv6 patch has been merged into their CVS repository.
This is great news, since the IPv6 transition will need scalable dual-stacked proxy servers. It's been possible to setup such a proxy using Apache 2's mod_proxy, but Squid is a popular choice for caching servers. Here's hoping that a successful 3.1 release is soon :)
