LyndaCampus offers course histories, profiles, certificates

To help students, faculty, and staff remain at the forefront of the digital age, Penn State has upgraded a license agreement with online training provider lynda.com, enhancing the University-wide contract which already provided free access to thousands of video tutorials on hundreds of technology topics. The expanded service, called lyndaCampus, enables individuals to earn professional course completion certificates; track progress with personal profiles; view training history; and bookmark courses, movies, and locations within movies for future reference. Faculty can have students demonstrate completion of lynda.com courses with certificates of completion and save class time by asking students to learn software applications on their own. These online tutorials can supplement existing course material and provide faculty with a better understanding of technologies that can enhance teaching and learning. Explore all the new features of lyndaCampus at http://lynda.psu.edu/2012/10/lyndacampus-at-penn-state.html.
