Welcome to our experimental website

This blog is an experiment in scholarly communications, collaboration, and the digital distribution of rare fragile documents that require interactivity for the exploration of historical value. A complete study of movable books as precursors to todays interactive games is hampered by the fragility of the books and by their scarcity. Thankfully, Penn State's Special Collections Library has excellent examples of the movable book genre and they provide access through the Rare Books and Manuscripts Special Collections Library, first floor Paterno Library, Penn State University Park.
