I reside in State College, PA with my wife and two daughters. I am a devotee of the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, universally recognized as this country's greatest architect. When I travel to areas where his houses and buildings are still standing, I try to visit them.
My other recreational interests include cooking, theatre, volleyball, golf, tennis, and bowling. I'm also a card-carrying member of Red Sox Nation, and was fortunate enough to have attended games 3 (with rabid Red Sox Fan Rich Maltz of Boston) and 4 (with almost-as-rabid Red Sox fan Anne Simon) of the 2007 ALCS in Cleveland.
Did you know that the Ramones song "I Wanna Be Sedated" was selected by NPR for its list of "the 100 most important American musical works of the 20th century"? The Ramones' place in history was further cemented with their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 18, 2002. I finally made a pilgrimage to the Hall in October 2007. Since the Ramones are no longer together -- and in fact, are dying off at an alarmingly rapid rate -- my musical tastes have turned toward the ska-punk band Reel Big Fish. If you have a chance to catch one of their shows, don't miss it.
