What is Tech Cafe?

techcafe1.jpg
Tech Cafe is a working concept for the development of a collaborative and low-key space for faculty, field supervisors, graduate students, and teachers to come together and share innovative ideas for teaching and learning with technology. The intent is to learn from each other in generative ways with a focus on practice.

There are a variety of rich resources at Penn State for getting "point and click" support for learning new technology tools; however, pedagogical conversations about how and why we use these tools are few and far between.

This blog is dedicated to charting the growth of the community, capturing aspects of our conversations over time, supporting the continuation of the conversations between scheduled meetings, and sharing resources (both pedagogical and technical).

Ultimately we hope to grow the community and the conversation, so please chime in if you have ideas for the group to consider. All are welcome to attend gatherings!
