Penn State Boxing Club
The Penn State Boxing Club trains dedicated and willing newcomers to
eventually try out for the boxing team. The Boxing Club program runs from
September into November. Competitive members continue training through
April. Penn State has finished as one of the top six collegiate boxing
teams in the last five years, and placed second in 1999 and 2001. The club
scouts for both men and women of all weight classes,112/ 119/ 125/ 132/
139/ 147/ 156/ 165/ 175/ 185/ 195/ Heavyweight. No experience is necessary.
We are looking for athletes from any sport who are tough and willing to
work hard. 
We completed the 2002-03 season finishing 4th in the country, with two
National Champions: Luke Runion & Eric Bradley, both Heavyweight. We
are especially interested in 112, 125, 132, 175 185, 195, and heavyweight
classes.
If there are any athletes who are SERIOUS about PSU boxing please contact
us. You do not need prior experience, anyone with any athletic background,
and competitive nature can be successful.
Previous amateur experience is limited to 5 bouts, any questions concerning
PSU boxing please contact us.
The club is interested in people who could help in a manager, advertising,
or promotional capacity.
BOXING CLUB PRACTICE WILL BE HELD ON MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 8:20-10:30
PM, Wrestling Room, IM Building starting Sept 8th, 2008. If you wish to
