THE POLITICAL SCIENCE "SIM LAB"

The political Science SimLab Project will be held in conjunction with the Red Lion High School Civics Club and the students at Central York High School's Project Vision class. The project involves Penn State York Political Science students serving as mentors and working on a series of activities with the high school students. The activities will include participation in a series of computer games, board games, simulations, and conventional board games dealing with politics and government. The computer games and simulations will include:

The Doonsbury Election Game, Capital Hill, First Degree, American Government Simulations, Decisions...Decisions - On the Campaign Trail, and Decisions...Decisions - Prejudice, and several others in the Decisions series.

 

Additionally, the students will participate in a conventional simulation, whereby the decision-making process will require all communications to be conducted via E-Mail.
