Below are five websites that are useful for beginner-level Spanish students and also advanced level students.

Real Academia Española
This is the link to the online dictionary of Real Academia Española (Royal Spanish Academy). This is not a translator but rather a tool to facilitate one's understanding of specific words by offering definitions in Spanish.

Don Quijote Spanish Resources
Excellent free website that incorporates Spanish grammatical and cultural lessons based on “real world” situations, links to media outlets in 20 Spanish-speaking countries, vocabulary, games, pen pals as well as reference tools such as dictionaries, a verb conjugator, Spanish alphabet pronunciation guide and much more.

Study Spanish
Extensive online tutorials centered on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and verb drills. Quizzes and an audible pronunciation guide allow you to track your own progress. 

Centro de Lenguas e Intercambio Cultural
This webpage contains exercises to be used with students of all levels in Spanish class.  The wepage is affiliated with a Spanish school dedicated to Spanish Second Language teaching. Great source for exercises and ideas. 

Instituto Cervantes
Official webpage of the Cervantes Institute.  Contains information about the Spanish Cultural Institute, its international locations and libraries, and activities that are provided to Spanish language and cultural students all over the world.
