Credit Suisse - Asset Management

IT Applications Support Internship
Summer 2008 (Junior)

My third internship was with Credit Suisse Asset Management in Sydney, Australia. I worked in the IT Applications Support department on business continuity planning and disaster recovery procedures. CS is a leading financial services company headquartered in Switzereland with focuses on private banking, investment banking, and asset management.

General Electric Company - Corporate

Information Management Leadership Program Internship
Summer 2007 (Sophomore)

My second internship was with General Electric in Albany, New York. I developed the data model for a GE-wide health care financial accounting system as an Information Management Leadership Program intern. GE is a global technology and services conglomerate with an extensive history of innovation across diverse fields.

AccuWeather, Inc.

Web Developer Internship
Summer 2006 (Freshman)

My first internship was with AccuWeather at their global headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania. I worked on a database technology migration and various web projects with the New Media team inside the Systems Engineering department. Accuweather is the leading provider of commercial weather forecasting in the world and their website receives over 4 million hits every day.

BSF Media (Startup Company)

Owner / Project Lead, Entrepreneurial Business
May 2004 – Present

BSF Media is a design and web development company that I started in 2004. The experience quickly transitioned into an excellent avenue for gaining project management skills, interacting with clients, and teaching myself new technologies. I usually dedicate 10-15 hours per week to projects for clients and about the same amount doing research or performing experiments.

Warwick School District

Student Technology Assistant
Summers 2004 & 2005

I worked for the Warwick School District as a technology assistant during the last two summers I was in high school. The majority of my duties were hardware and software maintenance related, but I also provided some training and technical support.

Responsibilites:

  • Managed the configuration of 150+ new computers each year
  • Created an inventory of the maintenance performed across six buildings in the district
  • Instructed faculty members during seminars for new software deployments
  • Trained a new full-time technology assistant
  • Assisted with the installation of three Apple Xserve servers and restructuring of the network topology
