I am currently a student in the LALS program at The Penn State University working on the final stages of my doctoral degree. Because I have been studying for quite some time, I have a very wide range of academic interests, including critical ethnography and autoethnography; discourse analysis (especially of narratives) and subjectivity; teaching with technology; and an increasing interest in what it means to be a Latina in US society. As part of my obligations as a student of LALS, I have been a TA in ESL classes and I have also worked as a research assistant for the Center for Language Acquisition.
