| Hello! My name is Brandi Kalgren. I am currently a fourth grade teacher for the Clearfield Area School District located in Clearfield, Pennsylvania (about one hour north of State College). My school district is small and rural with about 250 students in each graduating class. My students are engulfed in wilderness and are very inexperiences when it comes to places and events outside of their home town/county. I have been teaching in the district for one year, however, I have three years of full-time experience as an elementary teacher. I live in a neighboring town, Curwensville, which is very small and rural. I am currently completing my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Children's Literature). | PA WebQuest | Learning Object 3: I utilized the Filamentality WebQuest template provided by Pacbell to develop this personalized learning tool. The purpose of this learning object is to provide my students with a cooperative learning experience on-line that will promote student responsibility for learning in order to explore the prominent landmarks and appealing qualities of Pennsylvania, present and past. |
