The Sanity of Tasty Dishes
Let Observation, with extensive view,
Survey the world of viands that can please,
Remark each grain, each golden wheel of cheese,
And watch the busy crumbs of suppers, too,
Then dare to doubt the world gives guarantees!
There are no menus; still, no larder's lock'd
To us. The world is with us, fully stock'd
With food design'd that we might come and seize.
Tonight the hallway clock has not tick-tock'd
Away the time we have to celebrate,
So, to the Club! There shall we elevate
A glass of wine, or three. Now, don't be shock'd.
