These are also effective means by which I expose my students to the target language in contexts that are “real” and entertaining. These tools also help break up the monotony of the traditional classroom timeline, and provide a window through which students are exposed to authentic linguistic and cultural elements, which can be a challenge in US-based classrooms. Additionally, through the internet students have access to a multitude of Spanish language newspapers, dictionaries, travel and cultural information, that when utilized within structured activities, can translate into a much richer, realistic and more entertaining language-learning experience.
