I love having a complete photo workflow in hand with the iPhone. Not only can I take photos with the iphone, I can do any combination of:
stitching them together into a panorama with Pano:
Apply effects that mimic various cameras with camerabag (This is really cool, you need to try it out):
I also use mobile fotos to upload directly to flickr and night camera to try to take less shaky low light shots (although I am not sure if this really helps).
The best is that you can save your pics to the iphone's photo roll, and let each app do their thing. So, I could use night camera to take a low light photo, apply an effect with camerabag, then upload with mobile photos.
Another example would be below, where I took three photos with camera bag, then used the 12seconds.tv app to put them together, add some audio, and upload it to the 12seconds.tv site.
The 12seconds.tv app alone has some wild potential that I feel I haven't been able to fully take advantage of yet. It's really a mini digital storytelling app. I'll be playing more with that in the near future.
I love having an end to end creative workflow right on my phone.

Sounds like there are some iPhone apps I need to look at. I really like that I can shoot pictures with my iPhone and w/o syncing it with my Mac I can do all sorts of things. I'm going to try some of that stuff, but I'll probably not do the 12seconds.tv song thing ;-)
Wow! Thanks for sharing these apps with me. I always love reading about new apps and what the iPhone can do. I can't wait until the iPhone can actually take X-Rays, do an MRI scan, and transform into a car. Now, if only it could record actual video and provide a zoom option on the camera...
I agree, the ability to take video will be a very welcome addition to the iPhone. My phone previous to the iphone was pretty simple, but it could take video. Even if with the lo-rez I enjoyed taking video. Just having it handy makes it so much more likely I will use it and have artifacts I can look back on.

Hey Brad. Good post. I just downloaded Pano and will give it a try. I'm typically cautious before buying iPhone apps, but I'll trust your opinion on this one. Besides, I'm finding it difficult to capture some of the spaces I'm trying to photograph without a wide angle lens.
When video comes to the iPhone, I'll pay for a new one.
Pano is great because it does some photo manipulation magic to stitch and blend the photos together near perfectly. Really easy to use and get good results.
