Welcome back dear reader.
The weather has yet to cool* ... the leaves have not begun their chromatic shifts ... but other signs of fall are here. I am not talking about the hot mess that is pre-season pro football but rather the glorious ceremony that is occurring on college campuses nationwide. Young adults are fleeing the confines of parental guidance and beginning their post-secondary academic careers.
As these future leaders of America prime their livers in anticipation of 'pong marathons, noble university employees toil tirelessly in preparation of the season's first kick.
I hope that you have [or will soon] catch college football fever. It is an affliction, much like certain others that I am too classy to name, that is very fun to contract and never goes away.
I invite you to please read on and stay tuned for the details of the Graham-Cooper Cup ... Year FOUR !

* This was a true statement at the time that I drafted this post. Since then ... fall weather has come to Happy Valley. I am talking GORGEOUS seventy degree days and crisp [near frost-on-the-soybeans] mornings.
WOO HOO GO IU!!!!! (it's nice to be able to say that this time of the year:)What an AWESOME start for that wonderful school nestled into the beautiful hills of Brown County!!!!!
Can you say "Exhale" maybe???
There goes the #23 ranking.
Blakely,
I need to make my comments before my Boilers take on Oregon on Saturday, so here goes.....either the your new job or last weeks Iowa performance has dampened your prose for the week as I see no new comments since the game last week. This week against CY might be a tough one!

Tom ... your first instinct was correct. The new gig is really keeping me busy. Who would have thought that being a captain of academia, a bona-fide farmer and a father-to-be would be so taxing?
Hang in there, it only gets better! Good luck this weekend, same for much of the Big Ten.
