• Modeling of geometry and solidification characteristics during interaction of a pulsed heat source with mild steel specimen

• Study of Effect of modes of heat source (either pulsed or continuous) on the weld geometry during the interaction of a heat source with a mild steel specimen through mathematical modeling.

• Development of Refractory coating used in lost foam casting. (Project was done for Electrosteel Castings Ltd for import substitution.)

Work Experience

• Research Assistant, Pennsylvania State University , to Professor T. DebRoy  – working on the development of a numerical model to simulate heat transfer and visco-plastic flow in Friction Stir Welding process (August 2006 – present).

• Teaching Assistant, Pennsylvania State University , for the course “Engineering Materials (MATSE 259)” - Graded examination papers, helped clear doubts of students (Spring 08).
