| My name is Aldo
Morales, I was born in Tacna, Peru and graduated with distinction with a B.S. in Electronics
Engineering from Northern University,
(now University of
Tarapaca), Arica, Chile.
My Electronics Engineering thesis was "Discriminator for Telemetry".
My thesis advisor was Dr. Hector Torres. He was with the University of
Campinas, Brazil. He is now with University of Tarapaca, Chile. I then obtained my M.S. and
Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the State
University of New York at Buffalo (most commonly known as University at Buffalo). My Ph.D.
Dissertation was "Mathematical Morphology and its Applications to
Image and Signal Processing". My dissertation advisor was Dr.
Raj Acharya. He is now Chairman of the Computer Science and
Engineering Department at Penn State, University Park. Presently, I am
a
Professor of Electrical Engineering
and Associate Chair
of the EE/EET Programs at Penn State
Harrisburg. I am also the
Co-Director of the Center for Signal
Integrity at PSH. My current research interests are in
Wavelets, Weighted Median Filters, Signal Integrity and Morphological

Chair of the International Conference on Consumer Electronics
(ICCE), Las Vegas,
Nevada for the years 2010 and 2009, respectively.
