So I've been using a few new features to the intarweb lately. I've got a Yahoo email account, so my handy little Yahoo tool bar tells me when I've got new mail. Also, to keep better track of my LiveJournal, I've got a little function at the bottom of my browser that tells me when my flist updates. All in all, it's pretty spiffy. It lets me see what's up with my friends and what's going in in my inbox RIGHT AWAY OMG. However... it's left me somewhat lacking. Now in that down time when I've finished doing something I can't just go check my email and then have a look at my flist. Well I mean, I CAN, but I'd have to be a moron to do it since I'm automatically alerted when that kind of thing changes. Seriously, I don't think I even have to have a window open for the internet. My computer dings at me and a little alert box comes up with a link to my flist and everything.
It's not that I'm complaining. These features are really cool. It's just disrupted my internet habits somewhat, and I'm having a bit of trouble adjusting.
