Pardon the dust. I'm building this page.
My research interests are broad, but lately I've been asking when, why and how do people decide to start media businesses. If innovation and audience/user choices in media content are improved by new entry, we want as many media entrepreneurs launching new media enterprises as possible.
My recent scholarship includes:
- In September, 2011 I talked about media entrepreneurship to the audience at Ohio University's "Creating the Future: Managing Media in the Digital Age" .
- Along with my co-author Ben Compaine, I have an article on media e-ship coming out soon at International Journal on Media Management. It's titled, "Factors Supporting New Entry in Media Markets: ..."
