Technology
- TOO FEW OR TOO MANY COMPUTERS. There are only 2 computers for every 5 or 6 students. How should students make use of this arrangement? Can faculty make suggestions?
- INSTRUCTOR CONTROL OVER COMPUTERS. Instructors would like to have more control over the computer usage in the classroom (students tend to surf the web, etc.). Can we get software to prevent this?
- NO TECHNOLOGY FOR ANSWER SHARING. When students are solving problems (that they would ordinarily write on the board), there is no way for them to share their answers wtih the class. [Note: Lynette Kvasny mentioned a tablet-to-projection screen system, so students could electronically post their problem solutions for the class to see.]
- COMPUTERS ARE OFTEN NOT FUNCTIONAL. You can't expect to do activities that rely on computers when so many of the computers are not functional on a regular basis.
