Student Expectations
- LECTURE HALL = SIT BACK AND RELAX. Students expect lecture in this type of space, so professors must change expectations in the course if they plan on doing group activities or even interactive lectures.
- BACK ROW = DO WHATEVER I WANT. Students in back assume they can do whatever they want (read newspaper, feet up, sleep, play cards, do work for other classes, etc.); so must set your expectations of what is acceptable.
Unfortunately printing in the cybertorium isn't free.
When doing projects, typically only 2 members are active at a time as the others don't have computers to type up the report or to look up information, unless they bring their laptops - something surprisingly few students do.
