Welcome to the Cybertorium blog!
We invite faculty and students to post issues and suggestions regarding teaching and learning in the Cybertorium. To help organize comments, we've posted categories to the left, including a general category for comments that don't fit the topics that we've outlined. Most of the topics came from a "Teaching Community" discussion earlier this year, when faculty and students gathered to share best practices for facilitating collaborative work in the Cybertorium.
We are using the PSU blog site until we find a tool for discussions. Please post your ideas, suggestions, or experiences as comments under the appropriate category to the left. We will summarize ideas posted here for future College discussions about the Cybertorium.
Many thanks to Amy Garbrick for creating this blog and loaning us her personal blog space!

Great idea! I don't know if the PSU blog system allows for multiple people to use this space, but it would be cool if we could convince instructors to blog individually about experiences, and have them aggregate to a space like this.
If nothing else, it would be a virtual place for instructors to share wins/losses in their experiments teaching in the 'tanic But I would hope it could also act as an archive for others.
We're using the blog in an odd way. (I think what we really want is a threaded discussion--that looks good and is easy to use, like movable type.) The "comments" are where faculty and students can posts their ideas. Once we see ideas in the comments that should be summarized as a main bullet point, Amy or I (as editors of the blog) can add bulleted points above. Not ideal, but a quick fix until we get the right tool.
