WPSU has answered my prayers! Okay, maybe that's taking it a little bit far, but they do have an exciting new Election 2008 site for viewers/listeners in their coverage area. The "Build My Ballot" feature allows the user to create a customized ballot for their district, so you can see who is running for elected positions in your local area, and links you to information on the candidates and where they stand before you get to the polls. This information is often difficult to find, especially all in one place. Try it out today!

From PSU Live (full story):

With Election Day less than a month away, voters are making final decisions as to which candidate they will vote for on Nov. 4. To help voters educate themselves about the candidates and their policies, WPSU-TV/FM is launching a comprehensive, easy-to-use feature called "Candidate Central" to raise awareness about all races affecting voters in their coverage area.

"Candidate Central" is an interactive site designed to help voters determine how their views align with the contenders in this year's races for state House of Representatives, state Senate, U.S. Congress, and state executive offices, such as treasurer, attorney general and auditor general. The feature raises awareness about the races that don't receive as much attention and at the same time puts all candidates on an even playing field, presenting the information in an unbiased fashion.
