Politician Fact or Fiction? "The Fact Checker"
Following in the footsteps of FactCheck.org (Annenberg Public Policy Center, UPenn) and PolitiFact.com (St. Petersburg Times (FL) and the Congressional Quarterly (DC)), the Washington Post just released their own site fact-checking politician statements... The Fact Checker. The Fact Checker features reports authored by veteran journalist Michael Dobbs.
All three sites aim to be non-partisan, pointing out inaccuracies regardless of political party or leaning.
Though FactCheck.org acknowledges that the sites may disagree from time to time -- why the need for three well-sponsored sites that do the same thing? I suppose time will tell. More on these sites as information becomes available.
See the 8/28/07 post "Election Fact-Checking" for more on FactCheck.org and PolitiFact.com.
