Hey everyone,
This
past week has been really great. I
feel as though I'm finally starting to get used to being away from home and
everything. That was one definite
surprise to me coming to college.
Before going to college, I didn't think much of being away from
home. But now that I'm here, I'm
so glad I chose a college that's somewhat close to home. Last weekend, I had one of the best
experiences of my life. I went to
University Park for the weekend to go to the game and get a feel for the state
college coulture. I've never experienced
such energy before in a group of people as I did being in the student section
at the game. I stayed with a
friend of mine from high school and really had a good time. As fun as it was being in the
atmosphere of State College, I left feeling more satisfying in my decision of
going to Behrend than ever. I felt
as though University Park was a good place to visit, but wasn't that conducive
to actually studying and learning.
After taking a few tests this past week, I realize that studying is the
most important activity that you can engage yourself in during college. It's not like high school where it's
possible to slack off studying and still do well on a test, if you don't study;
there is a slim possibility that you will pass that test. I just hope I did enough studying in
order to receive good grades on my tests.
