Mexican Cuisine

I am from Mexico. I moved into the United States in 2005. My major is in Information Technology with 20 years of experience in related jobs, including 5 years as the General Manager of the Computer Center at the National Pedagogic University in Mexico City. I also have a Teacher’s Certificate for teaching English as a Second Language. I taught English to adults and children for two years in Mexico.

I have taught several Spanish courses such as Spanish 1, 2, 3, 10 and 20 here at Penn State since fall 2006. I was supervisor of Spanish 1 in 2008 - 2009. I am currently an administrative supervisor and instructor of Spanish 2.

The most enjoyable part of my job is to be with my students in the classroom. I love to get to know each of them and to share cultural facts. To see them learning and listening to their sentences in Spanish about themselves fills my day with satisfaction. At the end of each semester I hunger for a new one to start.

Teaching is wonderful!
