The Walk of Shame

Now we all know what this is about, but just in case. It's not the most pleasant topic but it happens to a lot of people- walking home in the morning in the same party outfit you went out in the previous night, causing somewhat dirty looks from others. Unfortunately, I found myself in this position Saturday morning. Contrary to what all the people on the street, in their cars, and on their balconies were thinking, I didn't do what they thought I did. I simply fell asleep at my friends' apartment and when I woke up, I realized I didn't bring any spare clothes with me. Everyone in the apartment of course loved this and refused to give me clothes to change into so I was forced to walk back to my room at 10:30 in the morning on game day wearing a skirt. Needless to say, my friends like to mess with me.

As I was walking down the street, people literally screamed out their car windows and off their balconies, "WALK OF SHAME" at me. I was a tad embarrassed but realized I had no reason to be. I hadn't actually done anything the night before that would define this as a "walk of shame" other than walk out wearing the same clothes. So, I decided to think of it more as a "stride of pride" because I hadn't.
I couldn't help but wonder why it was such a big deal though. I mean, almost every person I walked past had something to say and believe me, I walked past a lot of people. They didn't actually have proof of this being a walk of shame so it really wasn't fair, but to be honest if I was in their position I probably would have been laughing too! It makes for a funny story.
I found this post about how to survive a walk of shame and thought maybe some of you ladies might want to know it in case you ever find yourself in this position. Or get a laugh, either one.

That is quite a funny situation, and people obviously will assume anything they want to. I am not sure how to comment back in a scientific way but here is another article about the dreaded walk of shame. :)
