Hey everyone!

My name is Kate Brandell and I'm a sophomore public relations major going for a minor in spanish as well.  I'm from Bridgewater, NJ, which most people probably haven't heard of.  I live within 40 minutes of both New York City and the Jersey Shore, so although my town is kind of random, it's the perfect location.

Just like everyone else in this class, science isn't my thing.  However, I heard great things about this course and decided to give it a shot!  I like that there's a blogging component because it will help me improve on the skills necessary for my major.  I was a bit skeptical about this class at first, though after reading the syllabus it seems like we will be learning about some pretty interesting topics.

Below is a picture that I took at Horseshoe Bay in Bermuda this past summer.  Bermuda is a special place to my family because both my parents and grandparents honeymooned there, so we've made a few trips in the past few years.  This summer we traveled to Bermuda on the
Norwegian Breakaway!  It was amazing and such a fun vacation with my family.

I look forward to the rest of the semester and meeting everyone in the class!

I am a Public Relations major as well and thought it was cool that blogging was such a big aspect of the class. It's a great way to get thinking and work on writing skills, which we know are crucial to be successful as a PR professional. That picture of Bermuda looks beautiful! My family and I vacation quite frequently and not that long ago visited Barcelo Mayo Palace in Riviera Maya Mexico. One of the coolest things we did was take a day trip to Xel-Ha, a man made water park full of water activities, snorkeling, biking and so much more! You can check it out here, http://www.xelha.com/.
