Hi everyone!

My name is Martina Gring and I am from Royersford, PA, which is less than an hour outside of Philadelphia. I am a sophomore planning on studying Supply Chain Management in the Smeal College of Business. I am taking this class because of course like everyone else, I am not into science. In the beginning of high school I thought that is what I would want to study in college so I took an honors biology class.. it was such a big mistake. Besides not being interested in any part of the class, I think the worst part was that the teacher was horrible. Ever since then I try to avoid science classes, but I'm taking this to fulfill the gen ed requirement. I'm also taking this class because it was highly recommended from some of my friends. They all said they liked how the class was ran and that Andrew was a great professor.

A few years ago I went to Costa Rica and it was such an amazing trip! Between the beaches, forests and volcanoes the country is beautiful! It is neat to see how different people live down there and experience how they live their lives. It was also cool seeing all the different animals that you don't see around here and trying all the different food, but I think the best part of the trip was being able to go zip-lining over a rainforest canopy or going white water rafting. You can click here to learn some facts about Costa Rica if you don't know much about it.

I really like the picture of the frog that you posted. I am generally not a big fan of frogs because they really creep me out, but i found myself staring at this picture for a good five minutes, so i thought why don't add a link for more exotic frogs.

I'm so jealous of your experience in Costa Rica! I haven't done that much travelling recently, but that sounds like something I'd definetly be interested in the way you described it! I even saw a picture that make it even more tempting here: http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/travel/countries/costa-rica-guide/
