Science is Great, But My Heart Belongs to Business

Hi everyone, I wanted to start off by introducing myself and sharing a little bit about who I am. My name is Eric Campbell, I am a freshman and unlike the majority of students you'll meet in Penn State I'm from a small town in Northern California called San Anselmo. From a young age my passion has always been business. Whether it was starting a lemonade stand or playing monopoly numerous times, I have never considered doing anything else. The reason I'm not going after a science major is not because the subject doesn't interest me but because my heart belongs to business.

The two reasons I took this course are I needed a course that would satisfy my science GenEd, and while satisfying this requirement I wanted to learn a practical skill that I could apply to my life after college. This course interests me because although I'm not a science major I think new technology is fascinating and because of this I'm often reading reports on new scientific discoveries. So far I really enjoy the class, almost as much as I liked skydiving..

Hey Eric! First of all I'd like to wish you good luck on your first year here at Penn State. I can assure you there are so many amazing times coming your way. Secondly, I'm so excited to have a fellow Californian in the class! What high school did you go to? I'm sure if your school was big on sports, you guys probably played against us...www.siprep.org. Lastly, as business major, a class you may enjoy is BA 250, Small Business Management. The teacher doesn't use a text book but instead shares his own knowledge about his career in the business field!

Hi Eric! I'm Jenelle, also a fellow Californian like Jasmin. Although, I'm actually from Southern California from a a suburbia near LA called Torrance. I don't share your love of business, but I will say that, like science, there is an aspect of it in everything. It's good to have some kind of background in a little bit if everything, and well fun helps the process along quite well!
