'Ello!

Hello my fellow folk in Science 200!

My name is Becky Springer and I grew up in York, PA. Through out high school I was interested in broad subjects with narrow topics. I like art, but not sculpture. I like history, but mostly only American history. I like English, but not grammar. I like physics, but not the math involved. When trying to narrow down my interests, we're thrown into two big groups. There's the "English and history" people and there's the "science and math" people. Math has never been my thing. I enjoyed science theories, but not the math it took to get there. This is actually the first science class I've been in that hasn't been strongly associated with math. So by default, I'm not a rocket scientist or a science major at all.

I first heard of Science 200 because of one of our TAs which I had in a previous Italian class last year. She told me how the class was really interesting and how the teacher presented information to us in a way that captured her interests. I picked the class on a whim, hoping to find it interesting. So far so good! Good luck to the rest of you on the rest of your Science 200 endeavors!

Hey a saw you were from so i decided to comment on your post. I am from Hanover and I went to Penn State York so we live pretty close. So you seem to have a lot of interests but what is your actually major? http://yorkcity.org/

Rebecca, I feel the same way you do. I'm definitely more of the English and History person and Math was never my strong point, so unfortunately neither was science. What are you interested in majoring in? I'm thinking something along the lines of Sports Broadcasting or Public Relations if you want to check out my blog.
