A Blonde Walks into a Science Class...

564200_10151053696674779_1625309279_n.jpgHi! My name is Tess (on the left) but my friends call me Mess because I might be the klutziest person alive (I trip over everything, drop everything, break everything etc.) I'm from Princeton, NJ and have worked as a barista at Starbucks for the past 2 years. I also keep a regular blog on the PSU blog space called A Blonde in the Media.

Even though Princeton is full of very smart, science-y and mathematical people, science never really appealed to me. It's really just not my thing, I did alright in high school with it but I never looked forward to class. (Of course, my teacher didn't have an epic New Zealand accent!)

I have always been a writer and since I'm majoring in Journalism, I don't think I'll need to learn about elements and chemical reactions or protons; however, I think this course looks pretty sweet because it is more about critical thinking and seeing how science helps us and what else is left to learn about the world rather than combine two elements and make them go 'boom'.

Journalism is an awesome major. My girlfriend works for Philadelphia Media Company (Philadelphia Inquirer).

Hey Tess! My grandparents used to live in Princeton, NJ! They always used to take me to this place called Hogie Haven in town! I'm sure you've been there before! It was the first time I ever had a Philly Cheesesteak! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheesesteak

forgot to add a link. http://www.psu.edu/
