Fourth Fest

This is State College's fourth of July fireworks show. It is one of the best in the country according to the Travel Channel. In 2006 I helped construct and assemble a 50 foot tower on which panels of fireworks were placed to display a statue of liberty.

In 2007 I helped to construct and assemble a more complex 50 foot tower on which multiple pannel pictures were placed. I had some experience with power drills, a drill press, and a metal lathe, as well as performed basic tasks such as measuring string and spray painting welds. The best part was getting to stand 50 feet in the air in a scissor lift while helping to string counterweights to the top pulleys of the tower.
