Under Construction Online databases designed to supplement course websites: Prof. Huang teaches courses in Comparative Literature, and cross-listed in Asian Studies, English, Theatre, Film Studies, and Chinese. He occasionally teaches courses cross-listed in German, Philosophy, and History. Undergraduate courses include literary theory and criticism, Shakespeare on screen, introduction to Asian literatures, global Shakespeare, literary modes of Asia, narrative theory: East Asian cinema and literature, race and gender in literature: early modern to postmodern, and war in Chinese literature. Graduate seminars include comparative criticism and theory II, Lu Xun and the politics of modernity, traditional Chinese poetry, philosophy and Shakespeare studies.
